Why I Love Brighton

Brighton is an English seaside resort town, only about an hour or so away from London.
Now I've been to Brighton in many different weathers, it's in England so you can imagine the weather most of the time..however when the sun is shining and it's not too windy, it's my favourite place to be, you just cannot beat a Brighton sunset..just beautiful.

I have never been anywhere that hosts so many different, quirky and independent businesses aside from your main high street shops and restaurants. I love wondering through the cobbled streets of The Lanes and seeing what new places I can snoop round and try out.
There is so much to do all the time, it is a very current place yet still with its traditional values which for me is a perfect mix when visiting somewhere. It's a vibrant, fun and relaxing place to be. As a getaway for a few days it's a great place to start especially if what I have described is your sort of thing.
Everything is mostly within walking distance which is a bonus.

Also some of the B&Bs I have stayed at are just brilliant, so cosy yet modern and sophisticated. I've never had a disappointing stay anywhere, just do your research, there is 100% something/somewhere for everyone.
I'd recommend it for anyone, either by yourself, with your partner, a group of friends, family..it caters for all.
An all rounder and that's why I love it.
Have you been?

What I've been up to...

Hello friends,how are we?

It's now June...just stop for a minute and let that sink in...halfway through the year already! Wowzerrrrrrs. Time has absolutely flown by.

My last post was in February, which was pretty much the start of the year so bit by bit I'm going to fill you in with what I've been up to over the last few months.

At the end of 2014, I looked back on the year and I felt that I hadn't really done much or been to many places and had nothing to tell anyone about. So I was out to make 2015 much better and so far it has been just that. I hope to for it to continue and that I have a well fulfilled year.

My trip to Brighton...
At the start of March my boyfriend and I decided to go to Brighton for a few days. After speaking about it a few times we finally decided to book train and hotel tickets. They were very cheap which was great and after arriving I found it was relatively easy to get to, my boyfriend would clarify that I'm rubbish at getting to pretty much anywhere, but even I didn't find it all that confusing.
We were both quite excited as it was our first trip away together :)

It didn't take too long to get there and we'd already booked a restaurant for the evening,so we had a few hours to chill out before we went for dinner. We dumped our bags in the hotel room and went for a walk along the pier and took some typical touristy photos. Haha.
We then went back to room for a bit, which had THE smallest bathroom that we could just about both fit in,which as quite funny. For our meal we went to a place called Smokeys and we really enjoyed it, it was an American barbecue type place. I would like to go there again.

The next day was our full day,so we had more time to have a look around. We took another walk along the pier, just because we could and then when we went off to have a look through The Lanes, which is loads of little lanes and alleyways full of shops and cafes. So went to have a look and do some shopping and being a chocolate lover of course had to stop off at Choccywoccydoodah....mmmmm. Best Hot Chocolate I have ever had. A bold statement, I know.

If I was going to go again I would like to go for a bit longer so we could fit more things in as we weren't there for very long so didn't get to do that much and the weather was quite miserable, but that aside we both had really good time and want to go back at some point.

Treats at Choccywoccydoodah.

The most delicious Hot Chocolate.

Me and my love, look how happy we are to be in Brighton.

Classic seafront pic.

Hope you enjoyed this, more to come soon...

The Beach

(Image not mine)

Hello everyone,how are we?

This is a bit of random post, but please just go with it.

I think my issue with blog posts are that I have so many ideas but can never pick one, and then I want to do them all at once, hence my posts being very few and far between.

Anyway...

Today me,my mum and my sister went on a bike ride along the seafront. We usually go along the seafront anyway, however today, it felt different.
When I was riding along today I was thinking "It's really nice to get out of the house sometimes and appreciate the things around you" normally I don't give it a second thought,it might have been because I've had things going on at home and I just appreciated it more.

Many people would love to live by the sea, I do and I don't think I appreciate it as much as many others would. I have never been a 'beach person' so never really taken much notice. Today when we stopped off for our well deserved rest, I just looked out to the sea and felt I was just on my own in the moment taking it in.

Many people like to go to the beach to relax and think, and I think I get that now,you could spend hours down there. I never really want to go to the beach ,but I feel like I might start to go a little a bit more even if I'm on my own. With my new camera arriving in the next few weeks that gives me a perfect chance to go and maybe catch a sunset.
Abroad would be preferred, but hey ho there's nothing I can do about that one right now.
(*Save harder, save harder!*)

Where do you go to relax and forget your problems?
